FLUORESCENT DUGWAY "FlOWER" Quartz cluster - Chalcedony and clear quartz cluster. Glows fluorescent green under Shortwave UV light.

This quartz and chalcedony "flower" fluoresces neon green under filtered shortwave UV light. Under daylight, the crystal look white/ clear. The quartz does not fluoresce, but it is partially coated with green fluorescing chalcedony.

**ONLY A SHORTWAVE UV LIGHT WILL SHOW THE FLUORESCENCE so make sure you have a true filtered shortwave lamp/flashlight (read below for shortwave lights info).

**SHORTWAVE lamps have a range of 200-280 nm.**
Longwave lights have a spectrum of 315-400 nm and are also called UVA. (This type of light will NOT light up the geodes)

**You will need a true filtered Shortwave UV light in order to see the fluorescence shown in the pictures**

When purchasing UV lights, make sure that the nm (nanometer) advertised matches the light wavelength (a lot of sellers claim their UV lights are either shortwave or longwave, and in a lot of cases the listing is not correct/accurate). If you are purchasing a Shortwave lamp, the nm in the description should have a number in between 200-280, and make sure that the listing says "filtered" (the filter is very important to achieve a beautiful fluorescence without visible purple light). Also, the higher the wattage in the light, the more vibrant and visible the fluorescence will be.
