This specimen contains fluorescent calcite on matrix and it fluoresces under Shortwave UV light ONLY.
*You will need a filtered Shortwave UV light (254 nm) in order to see the fluorescence shown in the pictures.*
*Regular black lights, purple lights, or blue lights DON'T usually work for fluorescent minerals, so make sure you use the proper indicated UV light*
*Please keep in mind that the higher the UV light's wattage is, the brighter the fluorescent reaction will be*

This specimen was photographed using a 36 watt filtered shortwave (SW) ultraviolet lamp. The pictures have not been retouched.

Shortwave lamps have a range of 200-280 nm. (254 nm are recommended)
