This beautiful scolecite crystal has its natural radiating formation. Really nice and large specimen.
It is also fluorescent under a Shortwave (SW 254nm) UV light.

This specimen was photographed using a UVTools shortwave (SW 254nm) 36 watt UV light. The pictures have not been retouched.
*You will need a true filtered Shortwave UV light in order to see the fluorescence shown in the pictures.
*Regular black lights, purple lights, or blue lights DON'T usually work for fluorescent minerals, so make sure you use the proper indicated UV light*
Shortwave lamps have a range of 200-280 nm.
Longwave lights have a spectrum of 315-400 nm and are also called UVA.
