This tremolite specimen fluoresces bright pink/orange under longwave (LW 365nm UV light), and yellow/orange under a shortwave (SW 254nm) UV light.

*You will need a filtered LONGWAVE (LW) UV light in order to see the best fluorescence shown in the pictures, a shortwave light will show a more dull but still beautiful fluorescence.*
*Regular black lights will NOT show fluorescence at all*
*Please keep in mind that the higher the UV light's wattage is, the brighter the fluorescent reaction will be*
This specimen was photographed using an Convoy C8 Longwave 365nm filtered flashlight, and an Engenious Designs filtered Shortwave 254nm UV flashlight. The pictures have not been retouched.
-Shortwave lamps have a range of 200-280 nm and are also called UV-C. (254 nm are recommended)
-Midwave lights have a spectrum of 280-315 nm and are also called UV-B (310-314 nm are recommended)
-Longwave lights have a spectrum of 315-400 nm and are also called UV-A. (365 are recommended)
