*You will need a true filtered Shortwave (SW 254nm) UV light, Longwave (LW 365nm) UV light, or a midwave (MW 310nm) UV light in order to see the fluorescence and phosphorescence shown in the pictures. each light will be different as marked in each picture with SW/LW/MW. Shortwabe will show the best and brightest fluorescence.

*Regular black lights, purple lights, or blue lights don't usually work for fluorescent minerals, so make sure you use the proper indicated UV light*
*Please keep in mind that the higher the UV light's wattage is, the brighter the fluorescent reaction will be*

There is some minor phosphorescence.

This specimen was photographed using a 36 watt filtered Shortwave (SW 254nm) ultraviolet lamp and a Convoy C8 Longwave (LW 365nm) UV light, and an Engenious Designs Midwave (MW 310-314nm) UV light. The pictures have not been retouched.

*You will need a true filtered Shortwave UV light in order to see the fluorescence shown in the pictures. A Longwave UV light will show some fluorescence but not the best.

-Shortwave lamps have a range of 200-280 nm and are also called UV-C. (254 nm are recommended)
-Midwave lights have a spectrum of 280-315 nm and are also called UV-B (310-314 nm are recommended)
-Longwave lights have a spectrum of 315-400 nm and are also called UV-A. (365 are recommended)
