These calcite crystals are a really nice salmon/peach color under daylight, and they fluoresce a bright red/fuchsia color under filtered Shortwave UV light.
This listing is for one calcite crystal that is about 1.5"- 2" long approximately. Each crystal weighs about 15-30g approx. Pictures are an approximate representation of what you will receive, and the shapes, sizes, and colors may slightly vary due to the crystal nature.
**ONLY A SHORTWAVE UV LIGHT WILL SHOW THE FLUORESCENCE so make sure you have a true filtered shortwave lamp/flashlight (read below for shortwave lights info).
These specimen were photographed using a 36 watt shortwave ultraviolet lamp (pictures 1,5,9).
These crystals were self collected at Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, NJ.
You can decorate your space with this accent display piece, or add it to your personal mineral collection.
*You will need a true filtered Shortwave UV light in order to see the fluorescence shown in the pictures.
Shortwave lamps have a range of 200-280 nm.
Longwave lights have a spectrum of 315-400 nm and are also called UVA.
